The Real Reason Trump Sued Stephanopoulos

Trump’s legal expenses – paid for by a Republican political action committee  – have reached at least $76 million over the past two years.

And that’s because almost on a daily basis someone sues Trump or Trump sues someone. Not an hour or even a minute passes without someone speaking about Trump – one with the worst words and someone else with the best.

However, the former President of the United States was very upset recently when George Stephanopoulos, one of the country’s top journalists, the eminent host of the ABC television network’s ‘This Week with George Stephanopoulos’ program, said that Trump was “liable for rape” during his interview with Congresswoman Nancy Mace.

Stephanopoulos was pressing Mace, a rape victim herself, on how she could rationalize supporting Trump’s 2024 presidential candidacy.
“Judges and two separate juries have found him liable for rape and for defaming the victim of that rape. How do you square your endorsement of Donald Trump with the testimony that we just saw,” Stephanopoulos asked the congresswoman!

Mace said she was offended by the line of questioning. “You’re trying to shame me this morning, and I find it offensive, and it’s why women won’t come forward” to report rape.

“I find it disgusting,” she added, and called on ABC to punish Stephanopoulos.

Stephanopoulos is right: The truth is that Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled that: “The finding that Ms. Carroll failed to prove that she was ‘raped’ within the meaning of the New York Penal Law does not mean that she failed to prove that Mr. Trump ‘raped’ her as many people commonly understand the word ‘rape.’”

The issue is clear, so who knows why Trump chose to sue Stephanopoulos, when the Greek-American journalist is right and Trump has heard much worse. Perhaps the reason is that he does not like him because he is a former close associate of Bill and Hillary Clinton – and we know the hatred he harbors for those two.
