ATHENS – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Extroversion Kostas Fragogiannis stressed the importance of the operation of the Silicon Valley Greek Hub in San Francisco and the great opportunity given to the Greek start-ups that participated in the trip to the “Mecca of technology” marking the beginning of a new cycle of contacts, planning and preparation, in an interview with newspaper “To Vima”.
The Silicon Valley Greek Hub in San Francisco, whose inauguration took place in the presence of Fragogiannis, is “an initiative of the Greek consulate and the Greek businessmen of the region,” explained Fragogiannis, pointing out that “this organisation aspires to become the reference point of the Greek start-up business community with the financial capitals of Palo Alto and San Francisco.”
During the seven-day trip, with the participation of six Greek startups who were the first delegation from Greece to start its contacts in the “Mecca of technology”, as stated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, there were “many contacts and visits to technology companies that have already invested in our country, but also in investment funds that invest in startups”.
