The Archive of the Greek Orthodox Community of Venice in the National Digital Strategy

VENICE — The national digital strategy includes the historical archive of the Greek Orthodox community in Venice after coordinated efforts by the foreign ministry in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Government, according to a relevant post by Deputy Foreign Minister Costas Vlasis on Twitter.

The archive is kept in the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies in Venice, unused and inaccessible until today to researchers and the general public.

"Documents, manuscript codes and heirlooms from the 15th century until 1950 will be digitised so that they can be used by the research and academic community," said Vlasis.
