The 12th Suspect for Thessaloniki Murder Before Prosecutor

February 15, 2022

THESSALONIKI – The 12th suspect for the murder of a 19-year-old by football hooligans in Thessaloniki appeared before the city’s 7th examining magistrate on Tuesday and was given until Thursday to prepare his testimony.

The 22-year-old, wanted by police as the individual driving the third car involved in the incident, turned himself in to the police on Monday.

Separate charges of illegal weapons possession were also drawn up against him after a knife was found in his car. The knife was confiscated and sent to police forensics labs for examination.

He appeared before a Thessaloniki Misdemeanours Court in connection with this lesser charge on Tuesday, where the judge agreed to set a new trial date on Thursday, when he will also appear before the magistrate investigating the murder.
