Thanassis Bakolas Appointed as Greek PM’s Advisor on EU-USA Issues

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has appointed Thanassis Bakolas as his advisor on European Union-USA issues, according to an announcement on Tuesday.

Bakolas, who will be based in Brussels, has studied political science and international relations at Columbia University, USA.

He has worked for 25 years as a political analyst and in the last eight years he has been a close associate of Mitsotakis.

Zarkadoula) - Greek MEP Eva Kaili, who was recently released from detention and subsequently placed under house arrest in connection with the 'Qatargate' scandal, was unable to attend today's session at the European Parliament due to a personal matter, as confirmed by her legal representatives, Michalis Dimitrakopoulos and Sven Mary, on Thursday.
