SYRIZA’s Tsipras Lashes Out at Government over Economy and Foreign Policy

ATHENS – Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras in an interview with newsbomb.gr website on Thursday stated that he is confident about the electoral victory of his party and lashed out at the government on the issues of economy and foreign policy.

Tsipras argued that “we are heading to a generalized economic and social crisis”, stressing that “there is no hope for young people, every household is experiencing a frightening decline in purchasing power, and businesses are under triple pressure.”

He estimated that “the phenomenon of stagnant inflation will create conditions of suffocation” adding that the EU is taking all the wrong decisions lately.

Speaking about the national and foreign policy, Tsipras stated that “we lack a national strategy with a beginning, middle and an end.”
