SYRIZA: The Government Becoming Dangerous for National Interests

October 12, 2022

ATHENS – “With the decision taken on Tuesday by the Senate to reject the conditions restricting the sale of F-16 fighter jets, not only is Turkey not being punished for directly challenging Greece’s sovereignty and signing new illegal memorandums with Libya, but actually rewarded,” main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance said in a statement on Wednesday.

The main opposition party underlined that “this decision is another extremely serious defeat for the Mitsotakis doctrine, of the ‘faithful and reliable ally’ who gives everything without demanding anything in return.”

“At the same time, in fact, that Russia is upgrading its relations with the pseudo-state [in occupied northern Cyprus],” SYRIZA added, “the Mitsotakis government is becoming more and more dangerous for our national interests.”

ATHENS - Coming out of nowhere to rise to third in the world in Blue Flag beaches certified as having pristine waters and conditions, Turkey plans to overtake number one Spain and number two Greece to become first.
