SYRIZA-PA Leader Kasselakis Visits Predecessor Tsipras

ATHENS – Newly-elected SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance party leader Stefanos Kasselakis on Monday visited former party leader Alexis Tsipras in the latter’s office in Parliament.

Tsipras congratulated Kasselakis on his victory and advised him to enjoy these first few days, noting that political life has few joys, whereas the difficulties are continuous.

He underlined that there was great potential, adding that “we must give hope and prospects.”

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday spoke on the phone with newly-elected SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance president Stefanos Kasselakis, who won the election for the main opposition party’s leadership on Sunday.

According to an announcement, the premier congratulated Kasselakis on his victory and invited him to meet in the coming days.
