ATHENS — "Today is a historic day for our country, a day of victory for the rule of law, a day of victory for justice and finally for Democracy itself," the main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance party said on Wednesday, welcoming the Appeals Court's guilty verdict for the members of the nazi criminal organisation Golden Dawn (Chryssi Avghi).

The main opposition also welcomed the thousands of citizens that gathered outside the Appeals court on Wednesday to raise their voice in support of democracy's victory, adding that "it is everyone's responsibility not to allow to nazism to again contaminate society and the political system."
