Syriza Knows How to Lift the Country out of the Quagmire, Tsipras Tells Kos Islanders

ATHENS – SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras told people at the island of Kos on Monday that he believes “we are present at a great democratic invitation for the change that will come with Syriza’s victory on the May 21 national elections.”

There is “one month left until our people say a big NO to the Mitsotakis regime and a big YES to Syriza,” he added, as Greece “will leave behind four hard years of insecurity, anxiety, and take the first step towards justice and security.”

Greece’s society is transitioning “from anger to actually making a decision,” he noted, adding that “we know how to lift the country out of the quagmire.”

The main opposition party leader also mentioned that he will upgrade the health system on the islands, with incentives for the staffing of health structures in the island regions, as “this is a package of measures to render islanders equal to all citizens.”
