Strong Frost During the Night in Northern Greece

THESSALONIKI — Strong frost was recorded during the night and early Thursday in the northern parts of Greece.

The automated meteo stations of Athens National Observatory recorded the lowest temperatures (except mountain refuge and ski resorts) in Neos Kafkasos of Florina (-8.4 on the Celsius scale), -8.1 in Nevrokopi, -6.9 at Kilada of Kozani , -6.9 in Paranesti, Drama region and -6.8 in the town of Ptolemaida.

ATHENS - During the holiday period, shops throughout the country will remain open on weekdays from 9:00 to 21:00, the Hellenic Retail Business Association (SELPE) said in a statement.
