Strong Attack on PM, Main Opposition Leader from PASOK-KINAL Leader Androulakis

February 13, 2023

ATHENS – Opposition PASOK-Movement for Change leader Nikos Androulakis on Sunday strongly attack Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and main opposition leader Alexis Tsipras on a Mega television morning programme, accusing them of “opportunism” and of being “only interested in power rather than the country’s welfare”.

“Mr. Mitsotakis has said he is not interested in the first election and will hold second elections. In fact, Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis has spoken about third elections. For me this constitutes contempt for the institutions. On the other hand, Mr. Tsipras said that he will not form a “government of the losers”. Why did he then introduce simple proportional representation? In the face of this opportunist philosophy, which proves that they are not interested in stability but in one of them remaining prime minister and the other again becoming prime minister, we counter that from the first Sunday, if we have a strong percentage, we will set our policy priorities so that the country has a progressive government with stability and prospects,” he said.
