Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center Featured for Sustainability

NEW YORK – An article on sustainable infrastructure changing the world on Lifesly.com, recently featured the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens, Greece, calling it an “iconic” example of sustainable infrastructure in its list of examples from around the world.

“The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, financed by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano, is a meeting place also intended to illustrate the rebirth of the city,” Lifesly reported, adding that “it was built with sustainability in mind and has won some prestigious awards for environmental sustainability, such as the European Solar Prize for 2017 for its solar energy efforts, and Platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, the highest LEED certification level.”

Also on the list, Singapore for its “advanced water purification and recycling processes,” Copenhagen for its “intelligent transport,” and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada for its “eco-friendly landscape,” Lifesly reported.
