State Min: Regime of Greek Islands Totally Guaranteed

ATHENS — State Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis referring to Greece's agreement with Egypt on the maritime boundaries he said that "the agreement will be tabled to parliament for ratification and afterwards it will be submitted to the UN. It is an agreement that is already tabled to the opposition parties in order to be fully informed and of course it is a ring in Greek diplomacy's chain that will have more and important "episodes" in an interview with Alpha TV late Friday.

The regime of the Greek islands is fully guaranteed according to the International Law and the Law of the Sea and of course it is an agreement that has totally fair characteristics, Gerapetritis said.

Asked if the Greek side is expecting new provocations from Ankara, he said that "we are ready for all possibilities, there will be no holidays for us this year".

On the coronavirus developments, he stated that there will be additional measures if the condition gets worse.
