Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.

On Thursday, December 1 at noon, as thousands of holiday lights at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in Athens turn on, the festive musical program kicking off the SNFCC Christmas World will be livestreamed in the foyer if David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center. The events in both Athens and New York are free and open to the public.
The program includes carols sung by the Greek National Opera Children’s Chorus and a sing-along show featuring Young People’s Chorus of New York City director Francisco J. Núñez, Chórεs by Marina Satti, and vocalists and musicians.
This transatlantic live broadcast is part of the SNF-LC Agora Initiative, an effort supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) to reimagine public space which includes the creation of “Twin Agoras” between the SNFCC and the Lincoln Center.
