It's been seven years since the Milwaukee Bucks startled the basketball world by picking the raw talent of Greece's Giannis Antetokounmpo, rewarded with seeing him win two MVP awards as the game's best talent, and how they made the leap was shown in an ESPN Special on The Woj Pod show.

The Giannis Draft was hosted by ESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski and features several in-depth interviews, including exclusive access to the 2020 NBA MVP. Antetokounmpo, his agents Alex Saratsis and Giorgios Panou, and NBA front office powerbrokers to tell the story of how Milwaukee picked. “With an incredible slate of interviews and beautiful storytelling, Woj is revealing one of the best NBA Draft stories of all time,” said Cristina Daglas, ESPN Senior Deputy Editor who oversaw production of the series. “Full of new details and rich in anecdotes, Giannis’ story truly comes to life.”

Wojnarowski said he found the reasons why Milwaukee took a chance on Antetokounmpo, hoping his raw potential would pay off when they picked him 15th in the draft as he waved a Greek flag in the stands before he showed how great he is.
