Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – The world-famous humanoid robot Sophia is coming to Greece. She will make one of her rare appearances at the American Community Schools of Athens (ACS Athens) at 129 Agias Paraskevis, Kazantzaki Street, Halandri, featured by The Debate Podcast Tuesday, March 23, from 19:00 to 22:00.
Since 2016, Sophia the Robot has revolutionized the way artificial intelligence is shaped globally, becoming a symbol of the future. She symbolizes the 4th industrial revolution, and unlike other robot models, she has a distinct personality and has even been recognized as a citizen in a foreign country.
On March 23 two panel discussions will take place with invited guests who have excelled in their fields and are the foremost experts on artificial intelligence topics. The first panel is titled ‘AI and current developments’ and the participants will be: 1) Konstantinos Kyranakis – Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, 2) Adrianos Botsios – Founder of Dynamic Innovations and founder of Green Team, 3) Andriana Manetta – CEO of Victorious Network and Marketing and Sales Director at Hanson Robotics Greece/Cyprus, 4) Oraiozili Koutsoupia – President of the Rythmisis Institute, 5) Konstantinos Kechagias – AI & Privacy Specialist, Founder of the Google Developer Student Club.
In the second panel discussion, titled ‘AI in Society and Economy’, the participants will be: 1) Sofia Zacharaki – Minister of Social Cohesion and Family (expected to confirm her participation), 2) Athina Polina Ntova – Co-founder of Owiwi, declared one of the top 100 most influential people worldwide in the Talent Acquisition field for 2023, 3) Lilian Psylla – pioneer in artificial intelligence and social robots, has conducted (2020) and published (2024) pioneering academic research on the applications of social robots in the hospitality and retail sectors.
There is free admission to the event – with the presentation of a police ID – which will be covered by a television crews and journalists from Prwto Thema, Parapolitika, Ellada 24, SKAI, OPEN.
