EAST NORTHPORT, NY – Shrine AHEPA Chapter 500 hosted a Halloween Costume Party for the Special Needs Community on October 29. The event took place at New York Fitness and Boxing located in East Northport, NY. Attendees enjoyed a live DJ, disco lights, pizza, drinks, party giveaways, and plenty of Halloween goodies. Star Wars’ Darth Vader and his Storm Troopers made a surprise appearance lifting the energy level to new heights.
Chapter President Edwin Rivera said: “The idea to host social events for the special needs community came from my daughter Alexia. Alexia and many of her friends struggle with disabilities and they just wanted a safe place to come together and enjoy each other. Watching the party goers dance, smile and laugh is absolutely priceless. Diversity and inclusion are the goal of our socials. If other chapters or companies wish to donate to our social events, we will welcome you with open arms.”
