Greek-American James A. Koshivos, 21, Killed after Car Plunged into Ocean
FALMOUTH, MA – The police in Falmouth have identified the victim in an accident involving a car plunging into the ocean on February 20, NBC10 Boston reported.
A poll conducted by the main American news agency, the Associated Press, regarding who is more suitable for the position of the country’s president, Biden or Trump, yielded thought-provoking answers.
Large percentages of Americans – Democrats and Republicans – consider neither of the two potential candidates, Biden and Trump, suitable for the presidency of the country.
Specifically, 62% of Americans have a negative opinion of Trump and 52% of Biden.
Trump is often described as “corrupt,” “dirty,” “a liar,” and, “unethical,’ – with only 8% saying he is “good.”
Biden, who is 80 years old, is viewed as “old” and “confused.”
Certainly, these are strong characterizations and, unfortunately, it is difficult to disagree with most of them.
The question is, given the situation, what is to be done? Someone has to be elected.
Biden has not yet officially announced his candidacy, but all indications are that he will be a candidate. His associates say he will run to prevent Trump from being re-elected. They say he doesn’t consider any other Democrat capable of doing it.
On the other hand, Trump has not provided any explanation for why he is running.
He probably believes he must continue the work he did in his first term – but many believe that he simply desires to return to power for the sake of power.
Others believe he is running because if he is re-elected, he believes he will avoid… prison.
Either way, the candidacies of both are an injustice to America – and the world. One would expect that in such a large country, with so many capable individuals, there would be two serious candidates.
The fact that it seems there aren’t, is not encouraging for America itself, the world, and democracy.
