Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ASTORIA – The Department of Greek Education in conjunction with the Hellenic Book Club of New York presents a screening of Costa-Gavras’ Z, based on the book by Vassilis Vassilikos, at the Archdiocesan Hellenic Cultural Center, 27-09 Crescent Street in Astoria, on Wednesday, December 7, 7 PM.
The event will include an introduction by Louis Katsos, founder and President of the East Mediterranean Business Cultural Alliance (EMBCA), who will discuss some of the turbulent Hellenic political background during the 1960’s relating to the film which captured the director’s outrage about the junta that then ruled Greece.
