Schinas: The Results of the EU Summit Will Be Good for Both Greece and Europe

THESSALONIKI — European vice president Margaritis Schinas expressed his certainty that the results of the EU Summit next week in Brussels will be good for Greece and for Europe.

Schinas who is visiting Thessaloniki on Sunday to meet with the mayor of Serres Alexandros Chrysafis said that "The EU Summit will be held at a historic day, 25 March. The fact that Europe discusses for Turkey on the 200-year anniversary from the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman Rule, is a proof by itself, that Greece has achieved to integrate its pursuits into a wider European framework".

He also said that "we have entered the final stretch for the EU Summit. We are following last December's EU Summit order to record the course of the Euro-Turkish relations and their future dynamic.
