Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – “The end of the Turkish occupation and the reunification of Cyprus as bi-zonal, bi-communal federation with a single sovereignty, international personality and nationality as provided for by UN resolutions, with the unhindered implementation of the European acquis throughout Cyprus, is the priority of both Greece and Cyprus and our constant concern,” President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou said in a message to the anti-occupation event “Days of Remembrace Morfou” on Monday.
“The hope and expectation of all Greeks and of myself, personally, is that the day will soon come when the people of Morphou will return to their land and breathe new life into your occupied town, your gardens and your orange groves,” underlined Sakellaropoulou.
“We will not stop striving to achieve, for Morphou and for all the other occupied areas of Cyprus, the vindication of the sacred struggle for freedom,” she added.
