Sakellaropoulou, Dendias Meet with Cyprus’ AKEL Leader Kyprianou

ATHENS — Τurkey insists on its deliquent behaviour, not only ignoring the rules of good neighbourly relations but also international law, President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou said during her meeting on Monday with the visiting general secretary of Cyprus' AKEL party Andros Kyprianou.

Sakellaropoulou reaffirmed that Greece remains stable on Cyprus' side, noting that Greece will continue to support the international legality.

On his part, Kyprianou thanked Sakellaropoulou for the meeting and presented his party's estimations on the developments in the southeastern Mediterranean and Cyprus issue, while he expressed concern over Turkey's intransigent stance.

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on Monday received the visiting general secretary of Cyprus' AKEL party Andros Kyprianou at the Foreign Ministry.

Kyprianou briefed Dendias on the developments concerning the Cyprus issue after the election of the new Turkish-Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar, diplomatic sources said.
