A great success at an international level for Greece and the Greek olive sector was noted in the final phase of the major OVERALL winners, in the international olive oil competition of Israel TerraOlivo IOOC 2024.

Due to the high degree of difficulty, it is ranked as the top competition of the Asian Continent and in the top 3 major global competitions, with the high score of 9/10, based on the EVOOWR World Ranking.

It is a prestigious and renowned competition with very high-quality criteria for the selection and award of olive oils, applying evaluation standards according to the methods set by the International Olive Council.

The tasting of olive oils in TerraOlivo IOOC 2024 was carried out by more than 30 olive oil experts and panel tasters of international prestige from many different countries, exclusively with the method of blind tasting.

The regular phase of the international competition for 2024, due to the circumstances in Israel, took place in Cyprus and the city of Larnaca from June 15 to 21, 2024, with more than 500 participating olive oils, coming from many olive producing countries with a very high level of quality, such as Spain, Italy, Greece, Tunisia, Turkey, Portugal, Israel, Argentina, France, Chile, Morocco, USA, Uruguay, Peru, Croatia, Brazil, etc.

Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms, in the regular phase of the competition, achieved an absolute award rate of 100% in the twelve (12) extra virgin and gourmet olive oils, with which they participated. At the same time, two (2) of their olive oils qualified for the final phase of the OVERALL winners of the international competition, succeeding in surpassing the score of 96%, from the judges.

The final phase was announced on 7/8/2024, after a new re-evaluation by the experts, where Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms were honored with three (3) very high distinctions, bringing Greece and the Greek Olive sector to the top positions of TERRAOLIVO IOOC 2024.
