Repeat Tests on Korydallos Prison Inmate Come back Negative for COVID-19

ATHENS — Two repeat tests on a 35-year-old inmate at Korydallos prison, whose first test was marginally positive for coronavirus, have both given negative results, Greek authorities announced on Thursday.

The Libyan national had been experiencing symptoms similar to a SARS-CoV-2 infection and was transferred to Sotiria Hospital for treatment after the first test result. The repeat tests indicate that he is not, in fact, suffering from Covid-19.

A strict quarantine imposed in B Wing of Korydallos prison after the first test has now been lifted.
