FALMOUTH, MA – The police in Falmouth have identified the victim in an accident involving a car plunging into the ocean on February 20, NBC10 Boston reported.
ATHENS – Registered unemployment totaled 900,297 in October, down 4.4% compared with the same month in 2022, but up 7.6% in comparison with September 2023, Public Manpower Authority (DYPA) said on Monday.
The report said that a total of 492,597 registered unemployed (54.7% of total) were long-term unemployed. The unemployment rate among men was 34.4% and among women 65.6%. The 30-44 age group recorded the biggest number of registered unemployment (291,111 or 32.3%).
The number of people receiving unemployment benefit was 118,497 in October, up 3.9% from October 2022 and down 34.6% from September 2023.
