WORCESTER, MA – Presvytera Theodora Paleologos, 97, peacefully fell asleep in the Lord at Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester, MA, surrounded all week by her loving family.

She was born in Peabody, MA on June 27, 1923 to Constantine (Costa) and Ourania Talambecos. She married her soulmate, the Rev. Nicholas G. Paleologos, in 1943, and together they embarked on their journey serving Greek Orthodox parishes throughout the country.

She was also a house mother at St. Basil Academy; a volunteer ‘yiayia’ for the Metropolis of Boston Camp; a volunteer for the Philoxenia House; and a mentor and friend to many students and their families at Hellenic College/Holy Cross Theological School. She received the Laity Award from the Metropolis of Boston and Mother of the Year award by the Philoptochos Society of St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church in Roslindale, Massachusetts.

Presvytera Theodora is predeceased by her husband Fr. Nicholas and her son, Gregory. She is survived by Gregory's wife, Dorothy; son Fr. Dean and his wife Presvytera Cynthia; son Philip and his wife Celeste; and daughter Neia Rhodes. Her loving family also includes 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Her faith, love, and light will be perpetuated by her family and all whose lives she touched.

A funeral service was held in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial followed in Knollwood Cemetery in Canton.
