President Anastasiades Vows to Make Convergences in Talks Public

Nicos Anastasiades , President of Cyprus “has stated on Wednesday that everything that will be agreed upon at negotiation talks for a Cyprus settlement will be announced to the people. He was speaking during an anti-occupation rally, in Nicosia, organized by the Turkish-occupied Municipality of Kyrenia and other groups,” according to CNA.

Commenting on statements by Mustafa Akinci, the Turkish Cypriot leader, Anastasiades said “the positions stated by Akinci do not necessarily reflect the positions of the Greek Cypriot side.”

Akinci had made references to elements of a a possible settlement.
