Popular Greek Singer Dimitris Mpasis Performed in Greektown on October 30

DETROIT – American Hellenic Congress (AHC) with the support of all local Greek Somateia hosted an entertaining evening with Greek singers Dimitris Mpasis and Dimitra Stathopoulou accompanied by the Synphonia Band featuring Yiannis Sinanis on bouzouki and Musical Director Achilleas Wastor at the Atheneum International Center in Greektown Detroit on October 30.

The event was a celebration and commemoration of the 200 years of Greek Independence from the rule of the Ottoman Empire.

Mpasis’ smooth vocals have earned him high praise and enthusiastic applause as he performed many of his greatest hits including H Zoi, Spasmeno Karavi, Ourane, and many more.

The concert is part of Mpasis’ latest U.S. tour which began in Los Angeles on October 23, continued with stops in Chicago on October 29 and Detroit, and now heads to Astoria on November 5, Randolph, NJ on November 6, Wantagh, NY on November 7, Pittsburgh, PΑ on November 12, New Port Richey, FL on November 13, and concludes in Tenafly, NJ on November 14.
