Police Searching for Missing Teen Who May Be in New York

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Police in western Massachusetts said Monday they're seeking a missing teenage girl who may be in upstate New York with a man she met online.

State Police and the Pittsfield Police Department said 13-year-old Roos Bajanth left her Pittsfield home Sunday night and has not returned home.

Authorities described her as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing about 90 pounds. She has brown skin, black hair, and brown eyes and believed to be wearing a brown winter jacket, a red shirt, and possibly pajamas, police said.

Police say Roos may be in the Schenectady, New York area.

Anyone who thinks they have seen Roos or has information on her whereabouts is urged to call 911 or Pittsfield Police.
