PM Mitsotakis Visits E65 Motorway Construction Site

February 25, 2023

GREVENA. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Saturday visited the construction site of Central Greece’s motorway E65, which will link the cities of Trikala and Grevena and later with Egnatia Odos, on his way from Larissa to Grevena.

Mitsotakis expressed his certainty that he will inaugurate the first section of the work from Trikala to Kalambaka at the end of 2023.

“I am very happy to visit today the construction site of the north section of E65. A very important motorway for Thessaly and especially for western Thessaly as it will connect Thessaly with Egnatia Odos, a motorway significantly important for western Macedonia and, I would say, for the overall regional development of the country”.

Mitsotakis underlined that before the elections in 2019 he had said that his party (New Democracy) will turn the country into a big construction site with emphasis on the periphery. “I believe that now everyone can see that this becomes action.

Finally, I want to point out that this work is being constructed by Greek companies, Greek civil engineers, Greek technicians, Greek foremen, proving once more that the Greek construction companies have that experience and the ability to successfully carry out difficult construction works and also become co-leaders in the development leap which is being prepared today for our country.
