PM Mitsotakis: Europe Asks Us to Deepen Democracy, Solidarity and Our Mutual Ties

ATHENS – "The goddess Europe is of Greek descent and continues to travel in our countries and protect our continent," Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Saturday, in a message marking Europe Day and the 70th anniversary since the Schuman Declaration that started the process of European union.

"Forever optimistic, she asks us to deepen democracy, solidarity and our mutual ties, for happer citizens and more equitable societies, a 'greener' sustainable future. It is up to us to continue the difficult but enchanting journey of progress," Mitsotakis added.
