PM Mitsotakis Attending European Council in Brussels

BRUSSELS – Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is set to attend the European Council in Brussels this week, where he plans to call for substantive discussions on economic governance rules to be held by European leaders, rather than just finance ministers. According to government sources, Mitsotakis will aim to coordinate with other countries in the European South and emphasize the importance of reliable rules to ensure fiscal sustainability.

They noted that countries in the region, including Greece, have made significant progress since the debt crisis but still require medium-term fiscal stability.
