PM Mitsotakis and European Council Chief Discuss Forthcoming EU Council Meeting

ATHENS — The forthcoming meeting of the Special European Council dominated a video conference earlier on Thursday between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and European Council President Charles Michel.

The subject of the Special European Council to be held on July 17-18 in Brussels is the Recovery Fund and the Multiannual Financial Framework, where EU leaders will re-discuss the 750 billion euro Recovery Fund plan.

The plan must be approved by all member states.

According to government sources, the Greek prime minister and the head of the European Council also discussed Euro-Turkish relations in light of Turkey's broader delinquent behavior in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
