Plenary Session on Tsipras’ Vote of Censure Against Greek FinMin in Parliament

ATHENS — Parliament plenary opened on a motion of censure tabled by main opposition Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras against Finance Minister Christos Staikouras, at 18:30 on Friday.

The motion was signed by Tsipras and 85 MPs of the party; both the party leader and the FinMin were in attendance. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis also arrived at the plenary session to hear Staikouras' address.

Parties have already submitted a roster of speakers, and addresses will continue throughout the weekend. Party leaders have already said they will address the plenary on Sunday. Mitsotakis will be wrapping up the debate on Sunday night before a vote.
