Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – The Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation on Friday announced the closure of its nine museums until March 31, as a protective measure against the spread of the coronavirus.
The closure affects the foundation’s thematic museum network at the islands of Chios, Lesvos and Tinos and in the cities of Dimitsana, Ioannina, Soufli, Sparti, Stymfalia and Volos.
The Foundation supports the preservation and showcasing of Greece’s cultural heritage also through its historical archives, its library, research, publications, educational programmes, cultural and academic events.
