Pierrakakis: “Power Pass” Platform for Electricity Bill Refunds Opens on Friday

ATHENS – Police-issued IDs and driver’s licenses will be available as a mobile phone wallet application as of July this year, Digital Governance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis said on Tuesday in a radio interview with SKAI. He added that the ‘Power Pass’ platform for citizens who are entitled to receive the electricity subsidy, with refunds of up to 600 euros, will also open on Friday.

The minister explained that a Single Citizen Number, which will soon be replacing the AMKA social security number and AFM tax identification number for all individuals, will be in the implementation phase in the coming days. Citizens will enter gov.gr to access the application, enter their passcodes and download their police ID and driver’s licence, which will then be available for presentation on their cell phones.
