Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS — "Digital governance is the way, it is the means by which you reduce unnecessary bureaucracy," Digital Governance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis said in an interview with Euronews, two years after taking office at the ministry, stressing that "digital governance reduces inequalities because it allows each of us to approach the state."
As the minister pointed out, "we will become another Greece. I think it is absolutely possible."
Regarding the financing of the Recovery Fund, he stressed that "it comes to help us finance our entire strategy and therefore it is a great qualitative opportunity for Greece to change era." Regarding the digital employment card, he reiterated that the application will be ready within the year, giving each employee access to the data uploaded onto the ERGANI platform, to which only employers currently have access.
Referring to the vaccination system but also to the digital vaccination certificate, Pierrakakis noted that "a country that, until a few years ago, was not a digital pioneer – and still has gaps that need to be filled – is step by step proposing, planning, executing and designing strategies and solutions that other countries can also imitate."
