LONDON – Pianist Panos Karan visits London in the final episode of Bach Around the World, released on June 11, as he travels to the city he has called home for more than twenty years.
Karan calls London, “a city with immense cultural diversity,” and quotes from Samuel Johnson who noted that “when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.”
In the episode, Greek-born Karan performs Bach’s Prelude and Fugue No. 24 in B minor (book 1). The video is available online:
