PHOS Council Presents Online Tribute to the Pontian Woman

NEW YORK – The Pontian Hellenic Outreach and Support (PHOS) Council presents an online event, Tribute to the Pontian Woman, hosted by Holy Institution Panagia Soumela, live on Saturday, June 13, 7 PM, on Facebook and YouTube.

The event is free and open to the public and will include scheduled speakers, a film screening of Genocide- A True Story, music presentation by Dimitrios Stefanidis on Pontian lyra, and an open forum for discussion.

Among the speakers, Dr. Haralambos Vasiliadis will give the opening remarks, Avgi-Maria Atmatzidou will speak about the role of women in Pontos, and Vasiliki Tsanaktsidou, who wrote the film Genocide, will present Den Tha Siopiso (I Will Not Be Silent).

The Facebook Live event will be available online: www.facebook.com/HolyInstitutionPanagiaSoumela.

The event will also be broadcast on YouTube via Radio Trapezounta Boston, on Cosmos Philly TV, and on Macedonian TV of USA.
