‘Peter Tiboris: A Musical Odyssey’ to be Released January 2024

NEW YORK – The biography of conductor and presenter Peter Tiboris will be be released in January 2024, on the 40th anniversary of his conducting debut and the start of MidAmerica Productions and MidAm International Inc.

Written by author, historian, and contributor to The National Herald Alexander Kitroeff, the book is titled ‘Peter Tiboris: A Musical Odyssey’. It is a book length biography of the internationally acclaimed conductor music director and producer, following Tiboris’s life chronologically and divided into six chapters. It details a life devoted to music and the ways Tiboris benefited from the support of his father and other family members. The book also reveals how a number of close and trusted friends and collaborators enabled his dreams to come true, how his company Mid-America Productions became inextricably linked with Carnegie Hall, and how major composers and their works inspired and sustained his commitment to share his love of music with the world.

The book includes photographs that illustrate Tiboris’s life and career and a number of appendices which include listings of all his domestic and professional engagements and the conductors and choirs that performed under the auspices of MidAmerica Productions and MidAmerica International at Carnegie Hall and elsewhere around the world, including the festival of the Aegean at the Apollo Theater on the island of Syros in Greece which the Maestro founded and directs.

Tiboris thanked his readers in advance, saying that, “within this book lies my life’s narrative, encompassing over 50 years of music, globe-spanning relationships, and formative experiences that made me into the man I am today.
