Patras-Style Carnival at Melrose Penthouse in New York

NEW YORK – The atmosphere and beat of the famous carnivals of Patras, Greece was transferred to New York by three dynamic DJs – Stelios Apostolopoulos, Panagiotis Kolliopoulos, and Giorgos Kouvergianos – who come from the capital city of the Achaea province.

The festivities took place at Melrose Penthouse in Astoria, where at least 300 guests – Greeks and non-Greeks – danced the night away into the wee hours, reminiscent of the classic Carnival events back in the Hellenic homeland over the last weekend of the Carnival period. In recent years the energy and spirit of Patras has also reigned in Gotham.
