Parliament Plenary Ratifies Agreements Between Greece and the US

ATHENS — The plenary of Parliament on Thursday voted in favour of two defence ministry bills that ratify the agreements between Greece and the USA for the mutual supply of fuel for floating and flying means. The two agreements were voted for by New Democracy (ND), main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance and the Movement for Change (KINAL), while the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and MeRA25 voted against. Ellyniki Lysi voted "present".

Deputy Defence Minister Alkiviadis Stefanis said that these are implementation procedures that are "extremely beneficial for Greece, as they facilitate and simplify to the greatest extent, the possibility of supplying means of our Navy and Air Force, both in the US and in any other country".
