Parliament Debate on Fire Management and Measures Taken

ATHENS — Political leaders are expected to discuss the management of the recent fires in the parliament on Wednesday, at 10:30, after all the opposition parties raised the issue, as well as the reaction of the state apparatus.

Therefore, at the initiative of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the subject of Wednesday's debate is the management of the recent catastrophic fires and the measures taken. In this context, the dialogue is expected to include the response of the state mechanism during the critical hours of fires, and the immediate measures for the relief of the victims, as well as the measures for the restoration of the damages and the long-term planning for the recovery of the regions, in the light of climate change and sustainable development.
