Pandemic and Eastern Mediterranean Dominate Mitsotakis-Zaharieva Meeting

ATHENS – Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Ekaterina Zaharieva.

According to government sources, the pandemic in Greece and Bulgaria, transits across borders and developments in the Eastern Mediterranean were discussed during the meeting. The prime minister noted that Zaharieva's visit reaffirms the very strong ties between the two countries.

Responding to a comment by Zaharieva that Bulgaria and Greece are an example for all European countries on how to overcome a difficult past and have cooperation, Mitsotakis pointed out that it was very important to draw the right lessons from history and to perceive it as a bridge to the future, the same sources added.
