Pakistan’s President Pushes More Trade With Greece, Urges Tourists

ATHENS – Pakistan needs more trade with Greece, President Arif Alvi said, as he also urged residents of both countries to tour the other, as Pakistan also wants to expand its trade with Greece.

He urged Pakistan’s newly-appointed Ambassador to Greece Muhammad Aamir Aftab Qureshi to promote trade and economic ties and find new areas of investment, with trade in 2021 only some $101 million, said Pakistan Observer.

He called for projecting Pakistan as an attractive tourist destination for Greek tourists and expressed satisfaction that Greek mountaineers, hikers and travel bloggers visited Pakistan regularly, the site said.

Greece has a Pakistani community and the President said his country’s ambassador would further develop more contacts with them.
