Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – “The prime minister’s intentions are clear and they do not include either a reshuffle or elections,” government spokesperson Stelios Petsas said late on Sunday in an interview with Skai TV.
“Our priority is the implementation of the government plan,” Petsas added.
Referring to the migration issue, he said that the government understands the need of the local authorities to have a constant and direct contact with their voters and stated: “This does not mean that we will remain inactive. We have a clear plan. This includes closed-type hosting facilities. We will start the construction of closed structures this week. We believe it is in the interest of the residents of the islands and of citizens throughout Greece.”
