ATHENS – One hundred unaccompanied refugee children will be relocated to Finland, as agreed during a phone call between Alternate Migration and Asylum Minister Giorgos Koumoutsakos and Finland's Interior Minister Olly-Poika Parviainen, the migration ministry announced on Thursday.

Additionally, Finland will accept 30 migrants and refugees for the reunion of families.

According to a ministry announcement, the relocation will take place over the following weeks until the end of May. The decision is part of the European plan for the relocation of 1,600 unaccompanied children to EU member-states.
