Oikonomou: The Gov’t Exhausts any Existing Fiscal Margin

ATHENS – “We are facing serious inflation pressure. The society’s fatigue is intense. In the last three years we went through unprecedented crises and now the global skyrocketing of the prices. We are experiencing, as the whole world does, a situation that puts strong pressure that no government in Europe could or can eliminate. We immediately saw the problem and organised a plan to deal with it,” government spokesperson Yiannis Oikonomou said during a press briefing on Monday.

He said that the government exhausts any available fiscal margin “Greece has already given twice as many funds as the European average.”
