Oikonomou: Greece One of the 12 Countries in the World with Full Legal Equality Between Men and Women

ATHENS – Greece is one of the 12 countries in the world where there is full legal equality between men and women, government spokesperson Υiannis Oikonomou said in a Twitter post on Thursday, noting that this is due to a series of reforms and institutional interventions that regulate professional and family life.

“Greece is one of the 12 countries with full legal equality between men and women, according to a report by the World Bank. This performance is due to a series of reforms and institutional interventions,” Oikonomou underlined.

ATHENS - Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’s government said billions of euros in subsidies to help Greek households wracked by soaring electric bills and energy costs doesn’t mean he will call early elections in hopes of gaining more support.
